UNIMAGINED IDENTITY
solo exhibition in Aula at the Hungarian University of Fine Arts
The exhibition was created as a result of the research project „Historical overview of the institutional visual
language of the Hungarian University of Fine Arts and its predecessor institutes”
During the 150 years of the existence of the Hungarian University of Fine Arts, several transitions of power occurred, which are affected the structure of the institute; and continually overwrote and canceled the previous arrangements, and their symbolic systems. The Exhibition UNIMAGINED IDENTITY, show up all of this overwritten layers in one place and time moment, unfolding a never imagined identity. The exhibition contains object collages, which are landing the former ages power defined symbolic systems in new situations through artificial associations and decontextualization.
